Repeating tasks

A Repeating Task is one that comes back on a schedule. When you finish it, ListoWP keeps the completed copy for your records and starts a fresh one for the next time around. This was called "Recurring" in earlier versions and is now "Repeating".

Make a Task repeat

Open a Task and set it to repeat. Once repeating is on, the Task shows up in your Repeating Smart List alongside your other Repeating Tasks, so you can see everything on a schedule in one place.

Closing a repeating Task

When you close a repeating Task, two things happen at once:

  • The Task you closed is locked permanently. It stays as a record of that round and can no longer be changed.
  • A fresh copy is created for the next time the Task is due. Only this new copy can be edited.

Because the closed copy is locked, you do not edit "the same" Task over and over. Each round is its own Task, and any changes you make – a new due date, an updated description, different Assignees – go onto the current open copy.
