Keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts let you run common actions without reaching for the mouse. They work throughout the app, wherever you are.
Global shortcuts
These are active whenever you are not typing in a field. Press a key on its own, or hold Shift for the paired action.

A few of these depend on where you are:
N,3, and4need a List open, andNadds a new Task to the List you are viewing.1only does something when both Private and Cowork are enabled. If your admin has turned one section off, the key is inactive and its row is hidden from the shortcut list in Preferences.Shift+4and the arrow keys work only while the Calendar is on, and the arrows are ignored while a Task is open. In forms and editors
- When you add a Task, List, or checklist item, press
Enterto add it, orShift+Enterto add it and start another. - In the Markdown description and comment editors, press
Ctrl+Enter(orCmd+Enter) to save. - Press
Escto close an open dialog, menu, or preview.
