Lists

Lists are where your Tasks live. Every List holds its own Tasks, and you switch between your Lists from the sidebar.

Creating and using Lists

Create a new List from the sidebar, give it a name, and open it to start adding Tasks. Your Lists stay in the sidebar so you can move between them, and the content area shows the Tasks in whichever List you have open.

Private, Cowork, and Inbox

ListoWP has three kinds of List:

  • Private lists are yours alone. Only you see them and the Tasks inside.
  • Cowork lists are shared with other members of your website, so you can work on the same Tasks together.
  • The Inbox is a personal List that is always there. Use it as a catch-all for Tasks you have not sorted into another List yet.

To bring other people into a Cowork list, share it and manage who belongs. See the Sharing page for how that works.

Changing a List’s color

Each List can carry its own color, which helps you tell your Lists apart at a glance in the sidebar. Set or change a List’s color from the List itself.

List view or board view

A List can show its Tasks two ways, and this is a per-List choice:

  • As a flat list – a straightforward top-to-bottom list of Tasks.
  • As a board – columns you can move Tasks across, with an item count on each column.

Your Inbox can also work as a personal board with your own private columns. For how columns behave – collapsing them, adding Tasks straight to a column, and more – see the Boards page.
