Notifications

When you work with other people in Cowork, ListoWP keeps you up to date in two ways: on-site notifications inside the app, and email notifications so you hear about things even when you are not looking at the site.

What you’re notified about

You get a notification when:

  • You’re added to a shared List.
  • A Task is assigned to you.
  • Someone comments on a Task assigned to you.

You’re never notified about your own actions. If a Task has several assignees, a new comment notifies all of them except the person who wrote it.

On-site notifications

The bell in the ListoWP header shows how many unread notifications you have. Open it to see the latest activity, and click a notification to jump straight to the List or Task it points to.

Inside the panel you can:

  • Show all, only unread, or only read notifications.
  • Group them by List or by type.
  • Mark everything as read in one click.

Email notifications

Each of the events above also sends you an email – one email per event. It tells you who did what and in which List, with a "View in ListoWP" button that opens the Task (or the List, when you’re added to one). The link goes to the page your site admin has set as the primary destination for Tasks, so it works wherever ListoWP lives on your site.

A few details:

  • Email notifications are on by default.
  • Emails are written in your own language – the same one you use ListoWP in.
  • Sending is queued in the background, so an email can take a few minutes to arrive.

Turning email notifications off

You can stop the emails in two ways:

  • In Preferences, set "Email notifications" to No (see "Preferences" under Account).
  • Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any notification email. It works without logging in and switches the emails off immediately.

Either way, on-site notifications keep working, and you can turn emails back on in Preferences at any time.

PeepSo notifications

If your site uses the PeepSo integration, an admin can let PeepSo handle notifications instead. Your ListoWP alerts are then delivered through PeepSo’s own notification system: ListoWP’s bell is hidden, and ListoWP does not send its own notification emails (the "Email notifications" preference is hidden too).
