Activity stream

Every Task keeps an activity stream that records what has happened to it over time. You will find it in the activity section of the single Task view, alongside the description, subtasks, and attachments.

What the stream shows

The activity stream combines two kinds of entries in one timeline:

  • Comments – the messages people write to discuss the Task. They appear as full cards with the author’s name and avatar; see "Comments" under Frontend for writing and editing them.
  • History – one-line records of the changes made to the Task: title and description edits, closing and reopening, due date changes, moves to another List or Board column, assignments, subtasks being added and ticked off, attachments, and locking.

Reading them together lets you see the full context of a Task: not just what was said, but what changed and when.

History entries name what changed where it helps – the new due date, the destination List or column, or the person assigned. When a Task has several assignees, each person added or removed gets their own entry.

Each entry carries a compact age such as "5m" or "3d"; hover over it for the full date and time. Long histories load in pages – use Load more to reveal older entries.

Sort and filter

You can control what the stream shows and the order it appears in.

  • Sort by oldest or newest first. Oldest first is the default, so the timeline reads top to bottom like a story.
  • Filter by comments, history, or all.

Filtering by comments hides the change history so you can follow the conversation on its own. Filtering by history hides the comments so you can review the record of changes. Choose all to see both together. Your sort and filter choices are remembered on the device you make them on.
