Calendar
The Calendar is another way of looking at whatever you have open – a List, a Board or a Smart List – with Tasks laid out by their dates instead of in rows or columns. It is a lens, not a setting: flipping to the Calendar changes nothing on the collection itself, and nobody else sees it. Where Board view is a choice made on the List for everyone, the Calendar is yours alone, and you can flip back at any time.
Day, Week and Month
The D / W / M switch in the calendar bar picks the mode:
- Month is the overview: a grid of the whole month, with each day’s Tasks in their cells. On small screens the Tasks collapse into dots – tap a day to open it.
- Week shows one column per weekday, so it reads like a board.
- Day is simply your list for a single date.
In every mode, clicking a Task opens it just like anywhere else – your changes apply to the Task, not to the view.
Moving through time
The arrows in the calendar bar step backwards or forwards – by a day, a week or a month, to match the mode. The button between them jumps back to today; it is dimmed while today is already on screen.
From the keyboard: 4 toggles the Calendar on and off, Shift+4 cycles Day, Week and Month, Left and Right move through time, and Down returns to today.
The filter strip
While the Calendar is on, a filter strip above the Tasks names the exact period you are looking at, so a quiet week is not mistaken for an empty List. One click on it clears the Calendar and returns you to the normal view.
The Calendar composes with the "Assigned to me" filter on shared Lists: switch both on and you see just your own Tasks, on a calendar. See "Assignees" for that filter.
